Message of Thanks to Our Allies in the Missouri History Museum Controversy

Message of Thanks to Our Allies in the Missouri History Museum Controversy

Standing in solidarity with Palestine is a challenging endeavor. Time and time again, we have witnessed attempts to silence discourse on Palestine in St. Louis and across the country. Supporters of Israel know that our stories of Israeli brutality and oppression are powerful tools in the struggle for Palestinian freedom. When the PSC made the decision to stand in solidarity with the black liberation movement in Ferguson, we did so because it was the right thing to do. We never expected or anticipated that that movement would, in their time of great struggle, need to step up for us. We can’t express enough our appreciation for your unwavering support, especially to the Organization for Black Struggle, who we consider family. We are grateful for our new relationships with Latinos En Axion Stl, AltaVoz and the Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America and affirm that the solidarity you have shown to us is a debt we carry and strive to repay in action. PSC member, Suhad Khatib, said it best at the Ferguson October Rally in Kiener Plaza last year,

“BLACK LIBERATION IN THIS COUNTRY IS LIBERATION FOR ALL OF US!”
