SLS Project is an info space for courses taught in the Anthropology Dept. at Washington U. in St Louis (Prof. Bret Gustafson). Confronting St. Louis and MO politics has made me a bit outspoken. Opinions are my own, not the university, not the students, not the department. On St. Louis: @slsproject On energy politics: @energy_politics

Join us for an exciting afternoon of art, poetry, film and conversation. The exhibit features the works of Damon Davis and De Andrea Nichols, a poetry performance by Cheeraz Gormon, and a screening of documentary filmmaker Katina Parker’s “Ferguson: A Report from Occupied Territory.” Following the film, the audience will have the opportunity to engage all four artists in a roundtable discussion about the intersection between art and activism and struggles for racial justice in the wake of Michael Brown’s death. Jonathan Fenderson, assistant professor of African and African-American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, will moderate the discussion.

In-state MO retired teachers get 2% cost of living adjustment. Most Af-Am retired teachers of STL city pension system have got no adjustment for past several years. Seems like pension theft.
